vendors and suppliers recommended must have a solid market presence and must be
highly ranked by Health IT organizations as reputable EHR companies. Ultimately,
the product should closely match the objectives of each EHR solution that NVTS intends
to provide to its customers. As such, NVTS will evaluate vendors whose products
will fit well with the following key EHR solutions:
New Vision EHR Connect™ is an EHR solution designed to improve patient’s
care and increase physician’s service efficiency. It is the implementation of a
user friendly, highly functional, interoperable healthcare software solution, which
incorporates enhanced clinical features over the current solution. It allows the
practice to meet the ‘meaningful use’ requirements established by HHS and the certification
bodies in order to receive the federal stimulus incentives. EHR Connect™ is the
basic solution for EHR functionality which NVTS will be recommending to medical
practices that do not currently have this functionality and are trying to get started
to incorporate it in a way that complies with the meaningful use requirements.
New Vision EHR Plus™ is a higher tier EHR solution that provides added
practice management system resources. The additional practice management elements
are integrated with the EHR solution and customized based on practice needs, i.e.
comprehensive billing and coding system, scheduling, reports, Revenue Cycle Management,
etc. It allows the implementation of EHR and other practice management system features
in an incremental way, which minimizes the initial investment

Practice Management Software (PMS) NVTS can work with the medical practice
to asses its’ PMS if the current system does not meet all the needs of the practice.
PMS is an integral and key tool for insuring an efficient day to day operation for
any successful practice. These functions include, but not limited to, patient scheduling,
billing , insurance claims, financial reports, etc. NVTS will help evaluate the
current system, and determine if an upgrade or transition to another system would
be more efficient. Many reputable vendors offer a PMS as part of their product offering
for small to large size practices. NVTS will evaluate their PMS as a separate component
or as part of the overall EHR\PMS solution, and make the appropriate recommendations
to the practice.
